WWDC08: A landmark event. In more ways than one.

I just received my Apple WWDC08 registration announcement. Apple is noting the event as, “A landmark event. In more ways than one,” with a picture of the Golden Gate bridge split into two separate bridges.

Apple releases iPhone/Touch SDK to the public

Today, Apple, Inc. announced to the press and public their software roadmap for the iPhone/iPod Touch.  The list of features is pretty impressive:

Full support for Microsoft Exchange and ActiveSync
Cisco IPsec VPN Support
WPA2 Enterprise Authentication
Remote Wipe for compromised iPhones
App Store - the EXCLUSIVE avenue for distributing SDK built applications to iPhone users

Apple wins top spot in Fortune’s Most Admired

Fortune Magazine has named Apple, Inc. the Most Admired Company of 2008 with an overall score of 7.42 out of 10.
Fortune came up with the rankings based on polling other industry executives and directors in the same fields as the questioned companies.
