Chihuly at the de Young
I had the best date ever this past Friday. The best! My date suggested that we go to the de Young in Golden Gate Park to see an ehxibition by an artist named Chihuly. Chihuly is a glass blower who makes amazing shapes, objects and scenery using only glass. Check out this sample:

Room after room, each piece in the exhibit amazed me. I recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. The exhibit runs through September 28th. Visit the Chihuly at the de Young website for more pictures and information.
My date also noted his baskets; Chihuly also creates uniquely shaped baskets that resemble the forms of his glass creation. Go see it!

David Chihuly’s glasswork is beautiful and is also a stunning feature in the Lobby of Las Vegas’ Bellagio Hotel and in the atruim of Disney’s Wonder Cruise Ship.
