iPhone software as buggy as Windows

It seems to me ever since the release of iPhone software 1.4, subsequent firmware upgrades have been worse and worse as far as bugginess goes. Sure it’s a new OS (except it was built on the foundation of OS X), but every day I experience crash after crash. Even with native iPhone apps like Mail and Safari.

My iPhone firmware is 2.0.1 and I still have issues with it crashing, randomly restarting…etc.

This has never been too much of an issue with Apple’s desktop software. Now they are releasing firmware updates that are akin to Microsoft Windows updates. Updates that don’t fix reported issues and that create more issues to report.

I think Apple needs to focus on releasing a solid firmware update. “Make it work!”

Can we say “rush job” ? I don’t understand why they don’t seem capable of devoting the necessary developer resources. Half the features in the iPhone are either not yet implemented, or buggy and crash-prone as hell. Too much time spent on DRM and sucking up to media partners and not enough time spent writing and testing actual code if you ask me.

No kidding…in addition to apps crashing…volume resetting itself, Locate Me function not working, …I didn’t realize I had purchased Windows ME!!!

Yea it seams as if the have 1 guy developing this os, they should stop wasting their time trying to silence developers and start fixing shit.
