Does anyone else find this disturbing?

So you remember the anthrax attacks shortly after September 11th that the government suggested were a chemical terrorist attack?

Well CNN is reporting that the man responsible has been identified.  His name is Bruce Irvin and he works for the U.S. Army Medical Institute for Infectious Diseases. That’s correct, the U.S. Army.

He is now dead. CNN reports that he “killed himself.”

Sources found DNA evidence that links Irvin to a flask he used at the government facility.  Was the anthrax developed there while he was AT WORK? Why didn’t anyone catch him?  Surely a group of chemists, or at least professionals with backgrounds in science employed by the government, might be suspicious of a fellow co-worker creating anthrax.

Was this something he did deceptively or was it some project that was part of a vaster conspiracy?

What do you think?

Update: Maybe he is just crazy.
