They suck so much, someone has a website dedicated to how crappy they are.

A client I am working with had originally setup a website with iPower web hosting.  Besides having a shitty admin screen, they seemed OK.

Well, I’m setting up another site for the same client.  So I added a domain via the “Add Domain Manager.”  The catch is, they store the contents of any additional domain you create, inside the directory of your main domain. So Say I already have Test.com with them.  I want to create Test2.com and host it under my space with them.  I have to create a subdirectory off of Test.com and point Test2.com to the subdirectory under Test.com.

RIDICULOUS!

And it’s a security risk in my opinion.  Andrea Nelson (if that’s her real name) on the live chat for customer service (which completely sucks, but thats a whole other issue) said it’s not a security risk and it’s just how they are set up.  I told her it was sloppy, not common practice and reiterated that it sounded like a security risk to me!

Having files from one domain inside files of another is also a file managers nightmare!

As soon as I can, I’m going to get my client to switch from these jack-offs.
