Own your speech!: a PZ Myers death threat

At Bloggasm.com, a very informative report was posted by Simon Owens. He asked, “Should bloggers post email correspondence without permission?”
He was referring to the issue I recently discussed regarding PZ Myers and the article, “It’s a frackin’ Cracker!”
Someone had sent PZ Meyers a death threat. So to expose the heinousness of the fundamentalist terrorist threat, he reposted the content of some of his hate mail to the web. Specifically from a broad that worked for 1-800-FLOWERS. Apparently, her husband had access to her account and threatened Myers by saying “… You have two choices my fucked up friend, first you can quit your job for the good of the children. Or you can get your brains beat in … I give you till the first of the month, get that resignation in cunt.”
His wife was subsequently fired. Her husband said that the IT department of 1-800-FLOWERS should have had safe guards that protect against insane husbands who decide to write religiously, politically charged death threat emails to people. Once again, not taking responsibility for his own actions, but placing the blame on someone else.
It’s time to own your actions. If you can’t defend them like a true American, then its time you fucked off!
My personal thought is this woman is gigantic pussy who can’t take responsibility for herself and begged her husband to take the fall. Too bad you still got fired you dumb hoe. Even if her husband had sent the email, then he should own his actions.
Be aware readers and emailers. If you write something without saying specifically that you dont want it reposted, then that’s fine. However, death threats are serious and should be reported to the authorities as such.
