Professor Richard Weikart: bumbling idiot
A Modesto Bee staff writer, Sue Nowicki, wrote a really crappy article regarding a professor from Stanislaus State University, Richard Weikart, and his thoughts on evolution and Hitler. She was basically highlighting the movie, “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.”
Weikart is a nutcase. He is writing a book right now that discusses Hitlers genocidal activities being heavily influenced by evolutionary ideals. And what is actually terrible about this is that Ben Stein used it in his peice of shit movie to liken evolution to the root of all evil.
This is completely ridiculous. Natural selection is different from Hitlers ideals and actions to irradicate imperfect (as he saw it) human lives. The first word in the phrase “natural selection” is “natural” which, put very simply, implies that humans aren’t implicit in the selection. What Hitler committed was genocide.
I find it very interesting that Nowecki pointed out that Ben Stein was Jewish while that had nothing to do with a letter writer’s comment regarding the movie.
The documentary has been panned by movie critics and attacked by scientists and atheists. One letter writer to The Bee called it a “pseudo-Christian documentary” (Stein is Jewish, not Christian) and a waste of “$7 on this purported plea for academic freedom.”
What does that have to do with anything, other than to show your obvious bias in the matter?
Another issue the professor tries to highlight is the fact that evolutionists are being intolerant to the theory of intelligent design. One of the many problems with that complaint is that it is not a theory at all. Theories must have a testable hypothesis, and the hypothesis that an intelligent being created the world is not testable.
We should be completely intolerant of psuedo-science just like we should be intolerant of people trying to teach children lies. In this case, it is the same thing.
